Konami announces third consecutive base salary increase for March 2025

Some welcome industry news from Japan: Konami Group has announced a third consecutive year of base salary increases for regular employees at its domestic group companies, starting in March 2025. We’re pleased to see it. Kudos to Konami Group for continuing to invest in its people.

The increase is ¥5,000 per month, or ¥60,000 annually. New graduate starting pay will rise from ¥295,000 to ¥300,000 per month. Some domestic group companies and job categories are excluded.

Konami says the measure follows increases in March 2023 and March 2024, with the aim of improving income stability and creating a rewarding working environment. Its remuneration system also includes bonuses and contribution-based incentives alongside base pay.

For us, this is good news for the people making the games and services we follow.
