Should you watch Death Stranding 2’s trailers? Our thoughts on going in blind

With the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach rapidly approaching, we’ve been asked both privately in DMs and more generally, “Should I watch the trailers, or will I be spoiled?”

Our advice is to avoid watching anything if you want to go in blind. That way, you can discover everything for yourself, with nothing spoiled. Now, with that said…

Director Kojima is known for creating some of the most amazing trailers and understands how to market his games to his audience. To his credit, this time it seems he has made an effort not to completely spoil DS2 for everyone, at least based on what we’ve seen so far—unless you’re really good at connecting certain dots.

But we’ll never forget the launch of DS1 and the trailer he released. At the time, we were telling people, “DO NOT watch this! It basically spoils too much of the game, and I haven’t even played it yet!” If you don’t believe us, go check the trailer for yourselves and you’ll see what we mean.

So, take caution. We’re just days away from a new Kojima experience, and we can’t wait!
