Japan
Standard three-disc package · VX055-J1 · SLPM 86114–86116
The white title-led package contains two Metal Gear Solid game discs and a separate Suikoden II trial disc. The obi, booklet and inserts retain the Japanese catalog identifiers.
PS one Books · January 24, 2002
Japanese budget reissue with the original Japanese voices, two discs and a ¥1,800 listed price. Official product image; catalog code not verified.
Additional NTSC-J package
Sony-published SCPS 45320–2 package
This Japanese-language, NTSC-J-marked package uses SCPS 45320–2 and Sony Computer Entertainment publishing text, rather than the Japan-market VX055-J1 / SLPM package. It remains a distinct record; an NTSC-J mark alone does not establish the sales territory.

Premium Packages
Premium Package · silver presentation box
The silver set is documented through complete arrangements, box panels, an opened game case and individual contents. Different photographed copies carry different catalog markings; the arranged photographs are not treated as a universal packing list.
Metal Gear Solid Premium Package
Premium Package · gold bond-issue commemorative box
The gold box is marked “Metal Gear Solid bond-issue commemoration.” The accompanying Konami letter addresses purchasers of the Metal Gear Solid bonds and describes the package as a commemorative gift. This identifies its investor connection; an exact distribution date and production quantity are not established here.
