News2 years ago6 Views

Very sad news. Yoshitaka Murayama, creator of Suikoden and Eiyuden Chronicle, has passed away.

Suikoden was one of our favourite RPGs Konami ever released. When Eiyuden Chronicle was announced, we backed the project immediately. His work meant a great deal to us, and hearing this news is heartbreaking. Rest in peace. 😢

Yoshitaka Murayama, remembered in our original tribute

Rabbit & Bear Studios announced on February 14 that Murayama died on February 6 following complications from an ongoing illness. As the studio’s head and the scenario writer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, he had completed his scenario work before his passing.

The team said it would carry his vision forward and bring the game to players. We share the sadness that he will not get to see the response from the fans who supported that journey.
