PC Gamer Praises MGS4’s Port but Notes Its 60 FPS Cap

PC Gamer’s review of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots describes the long-awaited port as a distinctive, worthwhile return for the 2008 game. The reviewer praised its updated 4K presentation and the improved performance compared with the original PlayStation 3 release, while noting that the new version is capped at 60 frames per second.

The review also places the port in the context of the Master Collection release, where MGS4 can be purchased on its own or alongside Peace Walker. MGS4 had remained tied to PS3 for nearly two decades, making the arrival of a current-platform version a major moment for the series.
