
Konami Group Corporation’s first-quarter FY2027 results show that cumulative worldwide sales for the Metal Gear series have reached 66.4 million units. The figure covers cumulative console-game sales through June 30, 2026, and is up 300,000 from Konami’s previous update in May.
Konami’s report covers the three months ended June 30. Compared with the same quarter last year, consolidated revenue rose 33.6%, operating profit increased 63.3%, and net profit climbed 64.2%. Konami’s Digital Entertainment business generated ¥100.1 billion of the company’s ¥129.5 billion in total revenue.
The presentation also outlined a pipeline of 22 game releases across its Digital Entertainment and Arcade Game businesses during the fiscal year. METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol. 2, which includes METAL GEAR SOLID 4, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER, and METAL GEAR and METAL GEAR 2: SOLID SNAKE, was among the upcoming releases. At the time of the results, Vol. 2 was scheduled for August 27.
Konami’s materials also broke down revenue by the location of its group companies: Japan accounted for just over 80%, the United States about 13%, and Europe roughly 3%.
Konami’s presentation includes the Metal Gear sales total, a Vol. 2 promotional image, and a list of titles released during the quarter alongside the FY2027 pipeline.
