The new HideoTube special with Risa Unai and Kenjiro Tsuda was so good. We strongly encourage fans of Hideo Kojima to watch it, especially anyone looking for more insight into the new Death Stranding 2 trailer.

Kojima points to details throughout the trailer and talks about several projects. Here are the moments that stood out to us.
Tsuda, Sam’s Japanese voice actor, revealed that Kojima’s invitation to join Death Stranding came casually through a Twitter direct message. Kojima also said that the complete Japanese voice cast for Death Stranding 2 had been decided.
When asked whether Norman Reedus would star in the A24 film adaptation, Kojima said nothing had been decided. His involvement in the games should not be taken as a casting announcement for the film.

Discussing the forthcoming documentary about him and his studio, which follows the making of Death Stranding from 2017, Kojima recalled that people close to him had encouraged him to consider retirement before he chose to go independent.
He briefly discussed OD, explaining that Jordan Peele’s involvement is creative rather than simply appearing as a character. He also spoke about the action-espionage project PHYSINT, which deserves its own report because there is so much to unpack.

Having followed Kojima since the early 1990s, we loved seeing how happy he was while talking about making Death Stranding 2 and his other projects. We are so happy to see him doing what he loves. 😭🥰
