Metal Gear Solid 2’s resolution patch arrives on Steam with Ver. 2.0.0

The long-awaited resolution patch is finally here! Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty — Master Collection Version on Steam has been updated to Ver. 2.0.0, bringing expanded screen settings, control assignments and mouse support.

Resolution options

Resolution is now available under Screen settings in the Options menu. Original Mode retains the original resolution, while Adjusted Mode uses 1080p internal rendering with upscaling to 1080p, 1440p or 4K where supported. Custom allows separate choices for internal resolution, upscaling and movies. The 4K option is upscaling; the higher internal rendering option is 1080p. Supported in-game movies can also use higher-resolution versions. Choose these settings before starting the game.

Controller, keyboard and mouse settings

Control settings are now accessible from the in-game pause menu. Controller inputs can be reassigned, and keyboard and mouse controls offer Layout A, Layout B or Custom. Mouse sensitivity includes movement and scroll-wheel adjustments.

With Layout B, left click is the Weapon Button, right click readies the weapon, and mouse movement controls the camera in first-person view. Custom allows players to assign mouse movement controls.
