ConnorDawg previews nearly an hour of MGS4 from Master Collection Vol. 2

ConnorDawg has shared almost an hour of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots gameplay from Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, following a visit to Konami’s headquarters in Japan.

The video, I Played Metal Gear Solid 4 for the First Time, runs for 59 minutes and 57 seconds and follows his hands-on session with the game’s first act. Played on a large theater screen at Konami, it gives us an extended look at Old Snake’s return rather than a brief trailer montage.

We’re excited by how sharp the 4K presentation looks and how smooth the gameplay appears in this preview. Having a longer session to watch gives us a better sense of the game in motion, with time to take in its opening scenes and battlefield action.

ConnorDawg discloses that Konami sponsored the video and hosted the visit. This is a preview of the upcoming collection, so our impressions here concern the footage shown rather than a full review of the finished release.

Watch the complete session below. It includes footage from the first act, so bear that in mind if you want to experience the opening for yourself.
