Today we celebrate 12 years of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, first released in North America on March 18, 2014.
Camp Omega remains a masterclass in level design. Its open infiltration spaces showed what the FOX Engine could bring to Metal Gear: freedom to approach the mission from different angles, observe patrols and improvise when a plan went wrong.

Ground Zeroes connected Peace Walker to The Phantom Pain, while giving us a concentrated taste of MGSV’s new direction. That rainy arrival at Camp Omega still sets the tone immediately. Twelve years later, it deserves another visit.
