Steam database activity raises hopes for more Master Collection updates

We’ve spotted a burst of Steam database activity for the Master Collection versions of MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 over the past two days. It has us watching for another update, but the activity alone does not confirm what a patch would change or when it would arrive.

At the time of our post, we had no details about corresponding console updates either. Our expectation of an imminent update was speculation, rather than an announced release schedule.

After a reader pointed us toward the launcher’s notices and a Japanese update page, we replied:

I wonder why this update is only on the Japanese web site of things and not anywhere else.
