Dragon Ball brought so much joy and happiness to our family growing up. Hearing the news of Akira Toriyama’s passing, we can only imagine what fans around the world are feeling. Rest in peace to one of the greatest to ever do it.
In our self-reply, we shared why it meant so much personally: we remember our brothers and father gathering around the television when DBZ aired. Our father would not normally watch things with us, so those moments together were special.
A memory shared with our readers
We also noted that Toriyama’s influence on video games cannot be understated. His work reached far beyond one screen or one generation. For us, that legacy includes the happiness of watching together as a family.
