MGS1’s second-controller escape trick still works in the Master Collection

Back in 2021 A group effort by MGSR users resulted in a brand new MGS(1) time save. The guards during the escape sequence can be manipulated with the DPAD on the port 2 controller. This is still the case in the MCV1 version.

You can still manipulate the guards during the Escape sequence with the 2nd controller port on the Master Collection (PS5)
