Some Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker cutscenes have been rebuilt from higher-resolution material for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, according to the development team.

In a Japanese-language announcement on July 23, 2026, the team explained that the original release used artwork with a reduced color palette. The collection instead presents the source artwork’s original colors.

We translated the announcement into English. A comparison image accompanying the developer team’s post shows the original and high-resolution modes side by side, illustrating the difference in a scene featuring Kaz.
