Master Collection 1.3.0 arrives with fixes across the collection

Metal Gear, News2 years ago7 Views

The Master Collection Vol. 1 update we were waiting for has arrived. Konami’s version 1.3.0 notice details fixes across the collection, alongside a separate list of problems still under investigation.

MGS1 receives Steam save improvements. MGS2’s changes address Steam save-loading errors, frame-rate drops in certain Switch scenes, and video playback problems on Xbox. MGS3 receives fixes for overlapping button functions and video audio synchronization, plus Switch cutscene flicker and PS4 errors associated with holding buttons. Manual updates and smaller corrections also cover the older games and bonus content.

The investigation list still includes MGS1 cutscene playback, MGS2 visual effects, lower-resolution MGS3 face paints, PS4 trophies and microphone audio in Xbox captures. These are listed separately from the fixes already delivered.

Our other replies below preserve the discussion as it happened, including a control workaround, our view on the Switch frame-rate question and our expectations for continued support. They reflect our comments at the time.

Yeah it bugs. Hit L3 to stop aiming.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic here but give them time. There is a lot to be addressed, and so far, they are at least showing us things are being worked on. Not all issues with be fixed over night, but over time it seems.

That was intentional on release. What your asking for wont get patched. Want higher FPS? Get it on a different platform. Simple as that.

Like any developer or publisher there is a process for doing everything. Its not as simple as just uploading a mod to Nexusmods. I would think this is obvious. Do you know how many projects they are working on right now? How many people are working on these for each platform?
