Join the MGN Discord as X announces the end of Communities

We’re encouraging the Metal Gear community to join our MGN Discord following X’s announcement that its Communities feature is being discontinued. At the time of our April 22 post, the server already brought together more than 3,000 MGS fans—and growing.

X’s original announcement cited declining usage and set May 6 as the date for retiring Communities. The company pointed members toward XChat group chats, which supported 350 members in the announcement, and introduced public invitation links that could be shared on the timeline.

For our community, the invitation is straightforward: join us on Discord so we can continue gathering with fellow Metal Gear fans beyond X’s Communities feature.

Subsequent update: Later on April 22, Nikita Bier extended the migration window to May 30 and announced plans to raise the XChat limit to 500 members the following day, with a target of 1,000 in the following weeks.
