Our thoughts on Konami’s Metal Gear roadmap ahead of Delta’s release

We’ve been wondering about Konami’s plans for Metal Gear news and announcements in 2025. There could still be more updates about Delta itself, but with release approaching, that was beginning to feel uncertain.

The roadmap ahead was also unclear. With Tokyo Game Show coming after Delta’s launch, we were wondering when Konami would discuss Master Collection Vol. 2 or the MGS4 port it had already acknowledged. FOX HUNT and other potential news were part of the picture too. For all we knew, updates could still arrive around Delta’s release.

We had heard talk from people involved about Konami having some kind of presence at the fan-run MGSCon that year. That sounded great for attendees, but it would not reach the broader audience who could not attend.

We felt Konami could communicate better overall. It sucks having to guess the next move, but that had become the norm lately.

Our hope was that things would ramp up around the 30-day mark before release. Time was flying, though, and Delta would be here before we knew it. As far as we could see at the time, nothing concrete had been laid out—but with Konami, that could change at any moment. 🤔🧐
