Datamined Steam Deck control icons raise hopes for Master Collection support

Datamining reports of Steam Deck-specific control icons in Master Collection Vol. 1 have us watching for handheld support. In our October 22 post, we took the icons as a possible sign that Steam Deck verification could follow.

That was our expectation from the reported assets, rather than an announcement of a Verified rating or a confirmed date from Valve.

We also attached this MGS1 Steam-store screenshot, which shows the controller-only notice displayed at that point before launch:

The listing’s control wording subsequently changed; our keyboard and partial-mouse-support article preserves the following day’s notices.
