Master Collection Steam activity keeps us watching for the next update

Metal Gear, News2 years ago9 Views

We are still seeing considerable Steam activity around Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, and we are looking forward to learning what the team in Japan has been working on.

We are trying to keep expectations tempered. Development activity is encouraging, but it is not a confirmed feature list or release date.

Our follow-up context

We have been critical of the collection since launch, while also recognising the significance of its post-launch updates. In our reply, we argued that a few more important fixes could put it in very good standing, potentially making it the definitive way to play outside of using original releases. That was our assessment, rather than a claim that all remaining problems were already solved.

We also noted that the analog-control issue had been acknowledged and expected its fix in the next patch. In a later reply, on March 4, we pointed to games being in staging and said the activity made us anticipate an update sooner rather than later. We still did not have a firm date.

Acknowledgement of the analog-control issue shared in our follow-up reply
