Opinion: Solid Snake in Fortnite can bring more players to Metal Gear

I'm very happy to see a lot of the excitement over this surprise, but I don't get some of the negative sentiment over it either. I'm glad to see, though, its the minority opinion.

Snake has appeared in many games over the years. From Monster Hunter, to Super Smash Brothers Brawl, LittleBigPlanet, Scribblenauts, Ape Escape 3, Super Bomberman R just to name a few. He is an iconic character from our beloved series. I see Solid Snake's inclusion in Fortnite as nothing but positive exposure to perhaps the younger generation of gamers alike who may not be as intimately familiar and entrenched as our fan base is, but his inclusion being in one of the largest multi-player games ever could spur interest in someone and make them want to explore more because of it. Do you agree?

Our follow-up

I can't help but disagree. The amount of times I've personally heard from people the way they got into the series was from a completely non-cannon or cameo introduction of Snake has been more than I would have ever thought possible. I'm not saying its the norm, but it happens.
