A major Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 update is here. Version 1.4.0 is available on Steam from December 20, with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S planned for early January 2024.

Smoothing and a CRT-style scanline filter can be switched on or off. Screen choices include Standard, Pixel Perfect and 16:9, with Fullscreen also available on Steam. These settings can be adjusted before or during play.

MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, the MSX Metal Gear / Metal Gear 2 package and Bonus Content receive volume settings. Game and main-menu volume can be changed before playing; during play, only game volume can be changed.
MGS1 on Steam adds a Fast controller-response option alongside Stable. If Fast causes unstable performance on a particular setup, the notes recommend switching back to Stable.
The MSX package, MGS2 and MGS3 add a Steam window-mode setting before play, with Alt + Enter available to toggle it.

@TDK1855 If you had any mods installed I would consider doing a clean install. I had no such issues playing this morning.
